The social care and independent sector faculty works across a diverse range of organisations from local councils, large and small businesses, not-for-profit organisations and individual social care employers.
This faculty’s inclusion in the Education Collaborative is an important feature of an integrated system partnership, recognising the role of all system partners and the value of working together to improve outcomes for local people.
A word from the faculty chair
The current chair is Jamie Bloomfield, the new Locality Manager for Birmingham, Solihull, Derby and Derbyshire at Skills for Care, replacing your previous chair, Lucy McDonald. Jamie has worked in Adult Social Care for 5 years, previously holding the position of Operations Manager at the West Midlands Care Association.
“An effective health and social care system needs all stakeholders collaborating effectively to enhance the sector through joined up initiatives and a consistent, quality assured, approach. We are aiming to enhance training opportunities across frontline staff and to enable the workforce to understand how they can become the best version of themselves, through developing their skills and knowledge.”
