The BSol Psychological Professions Faculty represents the 20+ Psychological Professions occupations and associated professional training programmes within the NHS BSol Integrated Care System (ICS).
Psychological Professionals work at across the lifespan with individual, organisational and systems levels across a wide range of settings and sectors. These include all health and care provision in hospitals, hospices, primary care services, mental health services (community, forensic and inpatient), community services, rehabilitation centres, prison services, educational settings, and within social care services, universities, colleges and schools.
A word from the faculty chair
Dr Sunny Kalsy-Lillico is Chair of the Faculty and her pronouns are she/her. Sunny works as the Chief Psychological Professions Officer for Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Trust and is Chair of the Psychological Professions Network for Midlands. Sunny is a Practitioner Psychologist – Clinical.
‘Our Faculty works with students, trainees and colleagues with lived experience as part of our education and training focus. Our vision is to work collaboratively to provide a joined-up voice for the psychological professions in BSol so that we can maximise the benefits of the psychological professions for our communities. To do this, we will engage and connect our psychological professionals so that we can have a strong voice. We will also work together in our education and training planning, expansion and development across BSol psychological professions and to support excellence in our practice.’
Professor Rebecca Knibb is Co-Chair of the Faculty. Rebecca works as a University Reader in Psychology at Aston University, Birmingham, and Programme Director for the online MSc Health Psychology programme also at Aston University. Rebecca is a Practitioner Psychologist – Health.

BABCP are a professional association operating a highly-respected voluntary register for accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapists, wellbeing practitioners, and evidence-based parenting practitioners.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is the leading organisation for psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK. UKCP regulates the professions, offers training and education, connects and supports members at every stage of their careers, from student to retirement.
